Linda Kays-Biviano is an award winning doll artist, a master mold maker and a resin/silicone caster. She has had her work featured in many national and international publications. This year Linda Kays-Biviano has been accepted into the ODACA Doll Club.
Linda started sculpturing in 1990. After basically teaching herself techniques, she took some seminars to improve them. Christmas and fantasy characters are her favorite themes to make. However, she does not stop there. About 6 years ago, Linda partnered with her best friend and Santa Artist, Margaret Kreiner, to make life-size Christmas characters that Linda Kays Studios’ markets for commercial and residential decor. They have sent them world wide, to places like Vietnam, Puerto Rico, and all over the United States. They were told by Nancy Phillips, director of the Oakdale Mall in Johnson City, NY that the Santa’s have become a yearly tradition for families to visit.
This year, Linda and Margaret was commissioned to reproduce life size characters featured in an illustration drawn by artist, Vernon Grant (Snap, Crackle, Pop Cereal box artist) for a window scene to be displayed at the Rock Hill, SC Christmasville Festival held the first week in December.
Linda Kays-Biviano spent many years production casting and mold-making for artist worldwide. But after having health problems, she downsized to casting her own original sculptures, and a few other customers.
The year of 2015 was a creative year for Linda. She took an early retirement package from a pharmaceutical company were she worked for 11 years as a Blending Technician and a Training Coordinator. Now she’s able to work full time doing what she loves; creating sculptured artist characters. And 2017 looks to be even busier, adding on new shows and this website.
